Guac Gaga

Both of us were home all day today, so we made guacamole, finally using the avocados we bought last week. Avocados are so beautiful and tasty. We threw in onions, tomatoes, a bit a garlic and a squeeze of lime to make the guac, then put the stuff in the fridge for about half an hour. We have the before and after photos here.

We are both self-professed guac monkeys! Guacamole with chips is absolutely addictive. It's healthy, colorful, and tastes wonderful.

We call avocados fruits of the gods. We sometimes eat them alone with honey - just slice a ripe avocado into half, remove the pit and fill the cavity with honey. Then dig in with a spoon! That green color is so beautiful, and the flesh is milky and rich. Kenneth says avocados remind him of durians, since their slippery pits resemble those in durians.

i love avocados unfortunately the tree that we grew never bear any fruits but flowers only.

Avocado goes well as a sandwich base as well, 'cos it's very rich and can be substituted as a cream.
