Beef bracciola, badabing!
We went to this little Italian restaurant in Somerville called Vinny's, with a bunch of friends. The restaurant is really, quaint, a little like something out of the Godfather. It shares a property with a bakery/grocery shop, so you actually have to enter the grocery shop, walk to the back and then you enter the restaurant. And for big parties, they'll take you down the stairs into the basement, where we always joke that it looks like a place a couple of people probably got, um, whacked, if you know what I mean.We ordered the beef bracciola, which is beef stuffed with proviolone and something else (sorry, not very good reporting here, we'll take notes next time). The pasta was handmade mafalde, which is like wiggly hor fun. Very nice, but we were so full at the end of the meal. Still, that didn't stop us all from trotting down afterwards to Christina's, our favorite ice cream hangout.

Sam and I are at his parents' home right now in Morgan Hill, and his mom just taught us how to make spaghetti sauce. A big stock pot of tomatos, meatballs and sausages are simmering on the back burner right now. We're going to cook it for 6-8 hours total, then we'll cool it and freeze it for future dinners. Can't wait to eat it.
