Daryl's Porterhouse Steak

The same night we had char siew, friends Daryl and Xiaojuan came over for dinner, and they brought a giant porterhouse steak with them. We learned that a porterhouse steak is part tenderloin and part strip loin, a two-in-one cut. Daryl warned us that the browning of the steak would be messy, so we hustled down to the common kitchen in the basement (we know, quite naughty!) to cook the steak. We picked up a free pizza on the way.

Daryl cooked the steak with just salt and pepper. We tried to deglaze the pan with some limoncello afterwards, and that turned out to be a bad move. Sigh. That limoncello came from Trevor quite a long time back, and everyone here is still trying to find ways to get rid of it.
