
We acquired a big 5-lb bag of unpolished black rice recently, and are not sure what to do with it, other than to make lots and lots of pulut hitam. This is also known as a black rice porridge or "orr bee choke". Lynette calls it "bubur" hitam... which I think might be wrong. Anyway, it's a sweet warm dessert that's really easy to make, often topped with coconut milk. This picture was taken at a friend, Jiamin's, place (thanks, Wuisiew!).
