Don't squash that new year's resolution!

Happy new year, folks. Best wishes to all, and may everyone's karma improve this year.
Our first entry of the year also marks our first time cooking with squash. To be specific, it's yellow squash, that generic veggie they like to use as a filler in dorm cafeterias. We decided to be a little more adventurous, and made squash patties. The squash was julienned, then cured with some salt and drained. In the meantime, we sauteed some onions, then mixed in diced ham, chopped pine nuts, salt, pepper and tarragon. We mixed it all with an egg, a bit of plain flour and a bit of corn starch, then we dropped the patties onto a pan and fried them on both sides until golden brown.
Really wish we could come up with some solid squash puns, but feels like we're just bouncing a rubber ball inside a room.

Kenneth, I thought of you a few days ago when I ate a pepperoni pizza ($5 for 14-inch!) with a fluffy, doughy crust - just like Papa John's, which I know you like. If you come visit me, we should go get pizza for sure.
Set. Speaking of Papa John's, we went a little crazy last week and bought one extra large pizza and one large pizza from PJ, just because it was a pretty good deal with a coupon. We regretted it like an hour after we got the pizzas. Ate them for three days.
