bak kut teh!

Steaming bowl of bak kut teh soup, or literally "pork rib tea" to remind us of home. Our mothers sent us packets of bak kut teh spices to cook this special broth. With the magic satchet, it's so easy to prepare this - just add the garlic and meat. Perfect for slurping in a cold winter evening, mmm. Dinner was finished off with some blueberry pah, which we bought and shared with our friendly neighbor next door. The pie was so-so lah... the pastry tastes strangely of cheese. Weird.
