Our body clocks are all a little out of whack right now. We woke up real early to go play some basketball, then rushed over to our friend Wui Siew's place for some really nice Teochew-style porridge. She's a more-than-decent cook, and the braised fatty pork she made was most excellent. We then went to REI to do a little bit of window shopping (we always figure that we'll go there to try out the gear and then hunt for cheaper prices online), and because porridge lets you go hungry real fast, we went to Ken's Ramen restaurant at the Super 88 Asian supermarket for an early dinner. The ramen was so-so. Unfortunately, we've had better. Anyway, we got back and made ourselves a smoothie, beheading a bunch of strawberries, chopping up some kiwi fruits and bananas and adding a bit of soy milk. No, we're not soy-drinking yuppies. We just ran out of regular milk. Drank the smoothie and then went to bed at about 7:40 p.m. We got woken up by a prank call at about 9:30 p.m., and at 10 p.m. Kenneth realized that he just couldn't sleep, so Lynette asked him to get up and update this blog. Hmm, wonder what's on TV now.

Can you get the recipes for the teochew porridge and braised pork from your friend? I would love to make some here.
