Haymarketed Meatballs

We made meatballs and we were going to make a more orthodox tomato-based pasta to go with them, but decided at the last moment to skip the tomato and pasta and have the meatballs with pita instead. The pita was left over from a day-before barbecue (we forgot to take photos!) so we figured we could use them up.
The meal was made interesting because we had a red pepper and a zucchini from the Haymarket, the place to find Boston's cheapest produce. Lynette had a friend who tried to bargain for some vegetables. He offered to buy two onions for one dollar. The seller gave him a strange look and told him he could have the two onions for 50 cents. Yup, that's the crazy stuff that goes on at the Haymarket.
