Hot, sticky, sweet, from my head to my feet, yeah

Our mum very kindly sent us a nian gao from Singapore, and tonight we decided to go ahead and eat some of our preciousss. For those of you who don't know already, nian gao is the sweetest, stickiest treat during the Chinese New Year, and it's a favourite of sweet-toothed Kenneth. We just sliced it up and fried it with a flour-and-egg batter. Kenneth is working tomorrow and will be snacking on these as he earns his wages.
